Alan Kaufman Discusses Roles of Digital Signage in Multi-Channel Retail Environments
DynaScan president Alan Kaufman spoke to the role digital signage plays in multi-channel retailing during a discussion panel last week at the OVAB Munich Digital Signage Conference. The panel covered topics which included the roles digital signage plays in cross-platform strategies, how it can be used to effectively improve the customer experience, and how it can be used for analytics and greater customer insight. Joining Mr. Kaufman in the panel discussion were industry representatives Florian Zimmermann of mfi, Roland Grassberger of Grassfish, and Dirk Kiefer of didas.
With the growth of internet shopping and proliferation of smart phone usage, Mr. Kaufman suggests that the future of commerce will require strong an omni-channel strategy which utilizes digital signage effectively to unify branding, promotions and product information.
