Digital Media Systems Installs Double Sided imotion 65″ High Brightness Units at Wales Millennium Centre
Two double sided 65” ultra-high brightness imotion® portrait units were recently installed at the entrance of Wales Millennium Centre. The iconic Wales Millennium Centre attracted more than one million visitors last year and remains the top visitor attraction in Wales for the 5th year running. The Centre also won the BIFM Sustainability and Environmental Impact award 2012, a considerable vote of confidence considering the center had just completed its 8th year of operation, which is the reason alone Infinitus Ltd. is proud to be chosen as a supplier of high quality digital signage element, becoming part of total visitor experience.
Deployment was managed by Digital Media Systems who will also be responsible for the maintenance of the units during their lifetime. The imotion units replace outdated six-sheet posters, enabling center to promote its wide plethora of cultural activities as well as quickly replacing content on screens and in general obtaining live medium catching passers by attention before entering the building.
The imotion systems utilize a DynaScan 2,500 nit ultra-high brightness LCD, model DS65LT4, featuring an LED back light and 10,000:1 typical contrast ratio. Anti-vandal protective glass is treated for minimal sun reflection (less than 1%). Together with unique full-outdoor imotion technology trait of stable inner system “room temperature” conditions (20°C – 25°C/68°F – 77°F), enabling peak backlight performance of LCD panel and longest life times of integrated components, great content visibility is guaranteed no matter the ambient light conditions.
The systems are able to be fully controlled from remote location. With numerous self-protective features such as emergency failure messaging, sequential cold start and sequential warm start, integrated elements never work outside of their operating limits and are supervised and completely safe at all times, reducing risks of unexpected repair costs and total cost of ownership.
