DynaScan Daylight Viewable LCD Provides Information to Visitors of Barcelona’s La Padrera
Prestigious design studio, lagranja, recently sought out DynaScan dealer LED DREAM to search for an audiovisual technical solution for a digital signage totem located on the doorstep of La Pedrera building, in Barcelon, Spain.
The La Pedrera building is the headquarters of Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation and houses a cultural center that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organizes and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains.
The construction of the totem was a design collaboration between LED DREAM and the company Essa Punt, who built the structure per LED DREAM’s specifications. It was a very complex project, as it combines an outdoor P7 LED screen and a DynaScan high brightness LCD within the totem.
LED DREAM opted to use a 5,000 nit DS55LT6 high brightness LCD to combat the direct sunlight the totem receives. A sophisticated air conditioning inside the totem maintains optimal operating temperature at all times.
The graphic was made by Mario Eskenazi, another important designer, and the purpose was to inform, entertain and amaze the thousands of tourists who daily flock to the area of high cultural and commercial interests.
